Lara Croft Release Dates and Details
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light hits Xbox Live on August 18, but the game won't feature online co-op until September 28, when the PS3 and PC versions go live.
Crystal Dynamics global brand director Karl Stewart told Joystiq "If we had launched with online co-op, we wouldn't feel comfortable that it was the best possible experience for the player." No, the experience of waiting for a month to play the game with your online friends will be too awesome to miss out on.
There's obviously another story here under the surface, though we currently only see the murky form of exclusive negotiations lurking beneath the surface of what is known.
Speaking of which, we know that The Guardian of Light will receive five DLC packs between October and December. The first three will be include new tombs to raid, while the last two will feature new playable characters. We're hoping to play through the game as a gorilla.
