id Software's had Quake Live going for quite a while now. It's browser-based along with a plugin for IE or Firefox, and you can use it to jump into picture-perfect matches of the 1999 competitive first person shooter Quake 3: Arena. With solid AI bots and some great matchmaking, the game's accessible for anyone who's willing to start playing first person shooters.
