Will Wright Starts His Day with Nintendo
Do you start your day with a cup of coffee and a round or two of a particular video game? Spore creator and industry luminary Will Wright does, and it’s the same Nintendo game every time.
Speaking at the conclusion to the Game Developer’s Conference, Will Wright said “While I drink my coffee I pull out my DS and play Advance Wars. I've played that game more than any other in my life. I love Advance Wars, it lets me relax while I spin up my brain.”
Wow! That’s high praise coming from anybody. But coming from Will Wright, that may be the biggest recorded compliment in the history of the video game industry. Then again, maybe now we know why Spore didn’t work out. Wright claims he only plays for 15 minutes, but don’t we all.
