Ubisoft Announces New Assassin's Creed
By Joe Dodson, 1/14/2010 12:41 AMUbisoft today announced a new Assassin's Creed "episode" that will be a full-price retail game in which players reprise their role as Ezio.
The new episode is due out sometime before March 31, 2011, which presumably means this coming holiday season. A new Driver, as well as Raving Rabbids 4 are scheduled for release in the same general window. The press release also mentioned that the new Assassin's Creed game will feature online multiplay. No word yet on whether said multiplay will also feature squirt guns.
I agree. Not about playing assassin's creed with my butt, but rather, about the Animus stuff being lame. I realize it's a way for them to portray assassins in different eras while leading up to a present day assassin game, but I wish they'd gone with something a little less intrusive, like your character reading the journal of his ancestor.
Actually, I kind of wonder if they'll do this one without the context of the Animus or the sci-fi stuff at all. No more synchronization crap, just you in a Renaissance-era Italy without all the strange limitations.
