Here's an update for SpellForce 2 which solves multiplayer problems as well as the rarely occurring camera bug. The Patch works with SpellForce 2 – Dragon Storm and SpellForce 2 Gold.The Bug:
Installing the Dragon Storm add-on unfortunately causes a camera bug in some parts of the game; the camera indeed suddenly jumps to a strange location, preventing players from continuing playing. The Gold Edition version of the game is also plagued by this issue.
Since no official patch has yet been made available, some users from the German section of the official forum have designed a fix.
How to install the Patch:
Run the Patch and install it to the SpellForce 2 installation directory (please make sure that the destination directory matches the SpellForce 2 installation directory; in which the spellforce2.exe file and the base subdirectory are located).
The corrected *.lua file and relevant directory structure will automatically be installed.
Once you have installed the file, the camera bug should be history.
Warning: The file SpellForce2.exe will be replaced be a new one!
