Here's the version 3.1.0 Mac release of Warzone 2100, a real-time strategy game originally developed by Pumpkin Studios and published by Eidos-Interactive -- now free.
In Warzone 2100 you command the forces of "The Project" in a battle to rebuild the world after mankind has almost been destroyed by nuclear missiles. The game offers campaign, tutorial, multi-player and single-player skirmish modes. An extensive tech tree with over 400 different technologies, combined with the unit design system, allows for a wide variety of possible units and tactics. Warzone 2100 was created by Pumpkin Studios, published by Eidos Interactive and is currently developed by the Warzone 2100 Resurrection Project.
Note for OS X
1. You need X11 installed (should come by default since 10.5), which can be found on the install DVD .
2. If you have a Nvidia based Mac on 10.5.6-10.5.9, there is a bug that makes the game look wrong. To fix, upgrade to 10.6 or higher, or use these custom Nvidia drivers.
System requirements
Recommended minimum hardware:
* ~1 GHz CPU
* 64 MB graphics card with good OpenGL support (make sure you have the newest drivers installed)
* ~ 100 MB free RAM for the game
* ~ 100 MB HD space for the game, up to ~ 600 MB extra for the large videos
Operating system - one of:
* Windows 2000 or higher
* Mac OS X 10.4 or higher
* Linux or BSD
You will most likely need the latest version of the drivers for your video card.
"NOTE: The reporting of errors is on purpose, people have no idea that they were getting errors, so this was a way to notify them of these issues. This is mainly for windows & mac people since they don't run from a shell.
There is no need to submit bug reports if you don't have a actual crash.
All the maps errors need to be fixed by the authors, not us. The same goes with mods."
